LEGO Ninjago Cupcake Liners. Sure to be a hit at your party, create these adorable cupcake liners easily with a free printable set of Ninjago eyes.
For my son’s LEGO Ninjago party, I knew I was going to make a Ninjago cake for the party, but I knew it would be too small to feed all the people coming to the party. I decided to make some cupcakes, too! I used the same process to make these cupcakes as I used for last year’s LEGO Batman party cupcakes.

How to Make Ninjago Cupcake Liners
Supplies:
I used the cupcake liner template from Skip to My Lou. Trace and cut out as many liners as you need for your party. Since I was sticking with a green theme for this party, I used a light lime green colored cardstock.
Once you have all the liners cut, assemble them using a strong adhesive like Super Sticky Red Tape or glue dots.
Note: I found that regular double-sided adhesive won’t hold these very well. They kept popping apart!
Next, I created some Ninjago eyes on the computer. I printed them on sticker paper and cut them out. Since they were already stickers, I just attached them to the front of the liner using the adhesive back.
I frosted the cupcakes using my go-to buttercream frosting recipe from Wilton. I dyed the icing with a leaf green icing color to match the cupcake liners. Easily make the swirl in the icing using a large star tip.
I love how these liners can be made ahead of time and that they add such a great impact on the party table with very little effort!

Hello Laura,
How do you make the base for the ninjago cupcake liner…? I would like to make them for my son’s 8 birthday.
Laura Silva says
Hi Reni –
There is no base. You bake your cupcakes in a regular cupcake liner. These simply wrap around. Once you have them assembled, they just slip over the baked cupcake from the bottom. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a fun birthday party!

Sorry *Laura*
CHRISTINE says
Hi Lisa, sorry for the silly question, but do these liners have bottoms? Do the cupcakes sit on top of these liners or does it just wrap around them?
Lauras Crafty Life says
Not silly at all! These do not have bottoms. You bake your cupcakes in regular cupcake liners and these slide over them from the bottom up!
Lisa says
These are fantastic! I will be making them for my boy. Just a question: Do you make the cupcakes in regular white liners and then how do you attach the liners with the eyes? Thanks!
Lauras Crafty Life says
Lisa – I do just make them in regular liners. Then, I just place the cupcakes in the liners I made. When it is time to eat, you just slip them off!
Lisa says
Thanks!! Can’t wait to try them!

Thanks so much Claire! Ninjagos and Legos are so popular with little boys! We have done two Lego parties. I am curious if this year we will end up doing a third! My son is pretty excited for the new Chima Legos. :)

Thanks Angela! My son loves Legos. We did a Lego Batman party last year before they even had the Batman Legos out. The only thing we had was the game, so I had to be creative in making things from scratch! Have a great week! :)
