Batman Cupcake Liners (and a free printable): Make these simple and easy cupcake liners for your next Batman or LEGO Batman party. Includes free printable batman symbols.
How to Make Batman Cupcake Liners
I pinned this great idea on Southern Belle to make Batman cupcake liners for the cupcakes. It makes a big impact with not much time involved on the day of the party. You simply frost your cupcakes with colored icing and slide them into the pre-made cupcake liners.

Supplies:
Anything I can do to prep ahead of time I am always on board with. Typically I will create a more elaborate cake, such as the Transformers cake or the Thomas the Train cake. This time, I was doing so many other projects for this party I did not have time to deal with a fancy cake. These cupcake liners were really a cinch to put together.
Cut the black liners out. I found a great cupcake liner template at Skip to My Lou. Instead of printing only two liners per page, I cut out one on heavy cardstock to use as a template. I was able to get 6 – 7 liners out of one 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock. I used some double-sided tape to stick the liners together.
Free Printable Batman Symbols
I created a page of printable bat symbols that I printed out on sticker paper. I used my 1″ circle punch to cut them out. The images are more oval than round, so I had to trim them a little with scissors to remove any remaining white that was showing.

Then, I attached the sticker to the cupcake liners. Here are the finished liners.

I made some cupcake wrappers for my nieces graduation. They turned out really good. My problem is that after a little bit time the wrappers started soaking up the oil from the icing. They weren’t so pretty after that. Have you ever had this issue and if so do you have solution to the problem?
Laura Silva says
I have not really had this problem before. I try to make sure my icing is only on the cupcake itself and then it never touches the liner. I also never put the cupcake liners on the cupcakes until right before the party. So they don’t have a long time sitting with the fancy wrapper around them. I think the best bet would be to try to leave a little space around the edge of the cupcake with no frosting.

No sure if first comment went through. What size star tip was used for batman cupcakes #22?
Lauras Crafty Life says
I actually used the Wilton 1M tip from the 12 piece cupcake decorating set (affiliate link). But, the #22 tip would work as well. The swirl just won’t be quite as large!

Hi Laura,
I love you batman printout I am planning on using it for my son cupcakes, but I was wondering if you made that blue frosty on top of the cupcakes and if you how did you do or where did you get that frosting.
Thank you

I use the Wilton recipe for Buttercream icing. Here is the link: https://www.wilton.com/recipe/Buttercream-Icing
I then add food coloring to the icing to tint it to the color I want. I used a royal blue I think. You can buy them at a party supply store or even Walmart. https://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E30B2D9-475A-BAC0-5D5C3DB846DFD354&fid=3E33265A-475A-BAC0-597A6ED538D55E2B
Then, I use an icing bag and star tip to pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes. You can see it in this kit: https://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=2A9AFACA-423B-522D-F5C6F759E9566956&killnav=1 (Again you can buy this at a party supply store, craft store or Walmart).
Hope that helps! :)

Your cupcake wrappers are AWESOME! My son is a HUGE Batman fan and his birthday is coming up next week. I am making these for his school party. Thanks SO much for the great idea and downloads. 1 question: When outlining the templates on the black card stock- what kind of pen did you use- or just cut around the template for all of them?
Lauras Crafty Life says
I printed the liner template from Skip To My Lou on heavy cardstock, cut it out and then just used a regular pencil to trace around the cupcake liner template on the black cardstock. It shows up enough for you to be able to see to cut them out! Good luck with your party. :)

Lauras Crafty Life says
You’re welcome! This was so much easier than trying to decorate the cupcakes themselves. They were a huge hit at my son’s party. :)
