Do you need a cute gift box idea for Valentine’s Day? Today I am sharing how to create a Valentine gift box using the 1-2-3 punch board and the Crush Collection papers and embellishments. This box only takes a few minutes to make and can really dress up your small Valentine’s Day gift. I think my favorite part about this whole project is the heart embossed gold card. Embossing gold cardstock may be my new favorite thing!

When giving gifts, I like to make the packaging just as special as the gift itself. I used the 1-2-3 Punch Board to create a gift box that will work well for any small gift. You can create this box to fit any gift from as small as about 2 inches up to 4 inches. These would make adorable favor boxes to use for a little candy treat at a Valentine’s party.
Supplies:
- 1-2-3 Punch Board
- Crush Collection paper
- Crush Ephemera
- Evolution Advanced
- Heart Embossing folder
- Gold Foil Paper
- Corner Chomper
- Paper Trimmer
- Adhesive Foam Squares
To start with you will use the 1-2-3 Punch Board to create a box. Mine is 4 inches x 4 inches x 4 inches and uses a full 12 inch x 12 inch sheet of paper. I used paper from the Crush collection. The whole collection is perfect for Valentine’s Day crafting.
After you create the box, you will make a gift tag/card to go on the top of the box. I used a paper trimmer to cut out a piece of gold foil paper to 3 ½” x 4 ½”. I ran the gold foil through the Evolution Advanced with the heart embossing folder. Then, I punched the corners with a round corner chomper.
I cut out a 3” x 4” tag from the Crush collection paper collection. I rounded the corners on it and attached it to the gold foil paper with adhesive foam squares. Then I added a ‘LOVE’ ticket to the tag with more foam squares. I used regular adhesive to attach a gold foil heart to the top of the ticket.
Finally, I created a small bow using the 1-2-3 punch board and attached it to the top of the banner using adhesive.
I attached it to the top of the box and it is ready for giving!
You could easily customize this gift box for any occasion or holiday by changing up the patterned papers you use.
