My kids and I loved the Trolls movie. I have been wanting to make a fun treat to go along with the movie for some time. Cotton candy makes the perfect “hair” to accompany any kind of Trolls treat. Today, I am going to show you how to make these yummy and fun Trolls cake batter cookies.

Trolls Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
To start, we need to make the cake batter cookies. I decided to use pink strawberry cake mix. If you choose to use a vanilla cake mix, you can add pink or blue food coloring to the cookie dough if you want.
Combine the eggs, cooking oil and cake mix in a medium mixing bowl with a wooden spoon.
Scoop the cake batter cookie mix onto a cookie sheet.
Bake the cookies for 7 – 9 minutes at 375° (or until edges begin to brown).
Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack. To add the cotton candy hair, use a small brush and a tiny bit of water to attach the cotton candy piece to the top of each cookie.
Helpful tip: Do not use too much water or your cotton candy will melt rather than stick to the cookie.
Because this recipe calls for cotton candy, serve immediately. The cotton candy does not do well sitting out. If you are making these for a party, you can bake the cookies ahead of time and then simply attach the hair right before the party.
