This scrapbook layout highlights some pictures of Thomas when he was little with his Grandpa.
I used a semi solid paper that is almost a burgundy color. I created the letters ‘GRANDPA’ using different patterned paper, cardstock, buttons, thread, and stamps. I inked the edges of each letter rectangle. For each of the buttons, I sewed thread in the button holes to make them look like they were sewn on the page. I attached them with adhesive.
I found this quote online and thought it was fitting for the page, ‘A grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart.’ I hand wrote this saying on orange paper and double matted it.
I used flowers from the floral department of the craft store and attached them with brads. This is the main place I get flowers from for layouts. You can purchase large bunches of flowers and then just take them apart to use in your layouts. It is often much cheaper than buying flowers from the scrapbooking section!
This was a fun layout to do and I really like the orange and teal paper together!
