Pom poms are such a cute and fun way to add a little something extra to your projects. They are great for using on packages, using as embellishments and, my personal favorite, as a garland. Today, I am going to teach you how you can make your own pom pom garland with the new pom pom maker from We R Memory Keepers. This tool makes them so easy to make pom poms in a variety of sizes.

Supplies:
- Pom Pom Maker
- Baker’s Twine – various colors
- Scissors
I decided to use twine to make my pom poms. You can also use yarn or string. To begin, you will open both halves of the pom pom maker. The arms on each side swing out.
Hold your twine in place and start wrapping it around each arm starting on one-half of the pom pom maker.
You will continue wrapping until you have several layers of twine. The more you wrap, the fuller your pom pom will be. You will then close the wrapped half of your pom pom maker, cut the twine and do the same process on the other side.
Next, you will cut the twine in between the arms on each side of the pom pom maker.
Cut a separate piece of twine. Thread it through the center of the pom pom maker and tie it firmly. I usually double knot it.
Open the arms on both sides and pull the Pom Pom Maker apart. Trim off any loose ends and fluff.
To create the garland, take another piece of twine and thread it through a needle. Use the needle to thread the twine through the center of the pom poms.
I used mine to decorate my Organization Gallery Magnetic Chalkboard Frame I have hanging in my kitchen. I used some of the adorable washi tapes off the Scotty Dog Washi Dispenser to hang my garland.

I love pom poms but have never made my own. Will have to check out this tool. I have a birthday coming up so I may “ask” for this! Visiting from Creative Exchange Party.

This tool makes it SO easy to make pom poms – and you get three different sizes. I made large ones for my daughter’s Frozen party. One of the games was to have an indoor snowball fight – using white yarn pom pom “snowballs”. It was so much fun!
