Personalized Snowflake Ornament. Make this pretty DIY mason jar glitter snowflake ornament to hang on your tree. It would also make a great gift!
The holidays need sparkle. I use more glitter in my Christmas crafting than any other time of the year. (Although I have never shied away from adding glitter to a project that needs it.)
Glitter vinyl is a great way to add some sparkle to a project without all the mess! I love to make personalized ornaments both for my own tree and as gifts for friends and family. Today, I am sharing how to make this pretty DIY personalized snowflake ornament.

How to Make a Personalized Snowflake Ornament
Supplies:
Start by opening the family snowflake ornament Cricut Design Space file. I edited a snowflake that came with Cricut Access to cut a space in the middle to add a name. I used the Cricut font Typewriter Font, but you can choose whatever you like.
Edit the text box where it says “NAME” on the file to personalize it. Then Select All. Click Align, then Center Horizontally. Last, while everything is still selected click Attach in the Layers Panel. Click Make It.

Note: Don’t forget to resize the snowflake to fit on your particular ornament before cutting.
On the mat preview page, click Continue. Select Glitter Vinyl from the materials settings. Load the glitter vinyl on your cutting mat and load into your Cricut.
Click the flashing Go button to cut out your vinyl.
Weed the excess vinyl from your design using a weeding tool.
Apply StrongGrip transfer tape to your design. Use your scraper tool to press the vinyl onto the transfer tape. Peel off the paper backing.
Helpful Tip: You MUST use StrongGrip transfer tape when working with glitter vinyl or you will have a hard time getting the vinyl to transfer.
Apply the transfer tape to your ornament and carefully peel the transfer tape away.
I added some sparkly red and green pom poms to my ornament, but you could add fake snow, glitter, or simply leave it empty.
Tie on a ribbon and your ornament is ready to hang on the tree!
