No Sew Trolls Poppy Headband Tutorial. Learn how to easily make a Poppy headband. Includes a free template for the flowers and leaves.
Are your kiddos still loving the Trolls movie as much as we are? I thought it was such a cute movie.
We enjoyed singing and dancing along! We love Poppy from the movie, and the moment I saw her adorable headband, I knew I wanted to create one for my daughter. It turned out to be a really easy project!
No-Sew Trolls Poppy Headband Tutorial
To start with, print out this poppy headband template (download below) on heavy white cardstock. You can also freehand the flowers and leaves if you would like.
Supplies:
- Turquoise Felt
- Green Felt
- Green Elastic
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Cut out the pieces from the cardstock and use them as templates to trace on your felt with a Sharpie marker. You will need two flowers with three petals and one with four petals from the blue felt.
Then, cut out nine leaves from the green felt.
Use your hot glue gun to attach three leaves to the back side of each blue felt flower.

Take the green elastic and measure around your child’s head where you want the headband to go. Cut it. Then, tie a knot at the end of the elastic.
Add the flowers to the headband with your hot glue gun.
It turned out even cuter than I had hoped.
Helpful tip: I used the 2mm thicker felt from Hobby Lobby so the flowers would not be so floppy on the headband.
