Monthly Planner Dashboard. Create a monthly dashboard for your ring-bound planner. Use your dashboard to keep important information at a glance or divide up your planner into sections.
The new year is the perfect time to set up a new planner! Today I am sharing how to create a monthly planner dashboard you can use each month with your planner. If you have never heard of a planner dashboard it can be used to keep important information at a glance or divide up your planner into sections.

Monthly Planner Dashboard
I started by cutting apart a fun Crate Paper calendar sheet that had all 12 months of calendars on one page using my paper trimmer.
I used a 4” x 6” waterfall photo sleeve and placed the calendar inside towards the bottom. The fuse tip on the wood burning USB tool works perfectly to create a pocket for the calendar to sit inside. I left the left side of the pocket open to allow me to change out the calendar each month.
Next, I punched holes in the side of the pocket using the planner punch board. I used the guide on the bottom of the board to determine where to place the standard hold punches for my Heidi Swapp planner. If you are having trouble punching through the plastic, place a sheet of paper underneath it before punching.
I added some iridescent glitter and rainbow party confetti into the top pocket and then fused the side closed. Make sure to fuse it closed on the opposite side of the hole punches so that the glitter doesn’t fall out from where it is punched.
The label maker is perfect for creating a fun dimensional label on the pocket. Pretty pink label tape and the sans serif font wheel were the perfect combination to type out THIS MONTH. I cut a V shape on each side of the label and attached it to the front of the pocket.
I fused some FUSEables die cuts to the front of the pocket. I added a coordinating butterfly and a heart.
To make sure the plastic doesn’t tear from repeated use, I added some cardstock hole reinforcers to either side of the dashboard for all four holes using some adhesive and the hole reinforcer punch.
Interchangeable Planner Dashboard
This planner dashboard is so fun to look at the start of each month. I can mark the date with a little piece of washi or my dry erase marker each day.
I love that you can change out the calendar each month, so it can be used the entire year in my planner.
Do you decorate your planner or is it simply functional?
