Disclosure: I received Jamberry Nails product to review. I only share products I honestly believe in with my readers. All opinions are 100% my own.
My friend, Amy, just had an online Jamberry Nail party. It was so much fun! I have been hearing a ton of buzz around Jamberry Nails and I will admit I have been very curious. I am one of those women whose manicure will chip after only a day or two. I have used gel nails in the past, and I do like them, but I am not overly thrilled with the chemicals, UV lights and potential damage they can leave my nails with.
My friend’s consultant, Trisha, contacted me after the party and asked if I would like to try out some of the nail wraps and share what I thought with my blog readers. And, she was so generous to offer a fabulous giveaway, as well! I love that these nail wraps are non-toxic and that they are made to last. A manicure can last up to two weeks and a pedicure can last up to six weeks! And you don’t need much to get started.
You all know I try to be frugal. When I first saw the price of the wraps, I will be honest, it kind of turned me off. I didn’t realize what you actually get with each wrap and what a great value they really are! Trisha sent me this helpful breakdown to see how affordable the wraps can be.
She sent me a ton of information to get me started. I am a little bit of a perfectionist so I read through everything and watched the application videos she sent me. I wanted to be sure I knew what I was doing before I got started! Below is the official Jamberry Nails application video. This one you definitely want to watch. (Don’t worry. It is only a few minutes long.)
Below is what Trisha sent me to try out:
I started by removing any remaining polish on my nails and pushed back my cuticles.
Normally you would use alcohol wipes to wipe down your nail beds, but after describing my nails to Trisha, she recommended I wipe mine with vinegar instead. I tend to have oily nail beds and that is part of the reason my nail polish chips so easily. Vinegar dries out the nails beds a little more than alcohol will, which should help the wraps to adhere better.
I found the nail wrap that was the right size for my nail and cut it in half. I heated the wrap with a hair dryer for a few seconds (since I don’t have the Jamberry dryer). I applied the wrap to my nail and pressed it down securely with a heated metal cuticle scoop. You will apply a second blast of heat to your nail with the wrap on it. Then, wait for the wrap to cool before you trim or file it. Note: I didn’t do this and the tips started to peel, so I had to reseal them down with the dryer.
(Sorry I don’t have more pictures of the process, but I only have two hands!)
I continued this process on the rest of my nails. The process went smoothly once I got started. From start to finish it took me less than a half hour for my first time applying the nail wraps. I am sure it will go even quicker next time! My nail wraps I used are: Gold Sparkle and Mint Green & Gold Horizontal Pinstripe
After I finished my manicure, I used some of the cute junior wraps that Trisha sent me for my daughter. She did great and is so happy her polish is staying on for so long! My daughter’s wraps are called: Stars & Peace Signs (she also used one of my Gold Sparkle wraps on each of her thumbs to be like mommy.)
So far, I am really loving these wraps. They can easily be removed by soaking them in warm water and peeling them off. I love that I don’t have to use harsh chemicals to remove them.
Be sure to watch this video before you apply: How to apply Jamberry Nails without wrinkles. I think that video is the reason I was so successful at having such a great first time application experience.

They are super fun and totally cute! I love that I can do them and get right back to doing what I need to do since there is no dry time like regular polish. Have a fantastic weekend! xo, Laura
