I know my blog has been slow lately. However, I have some exciting news! I am going to my first ever blog conference. This is a huge deal for me. I have never left my 7 and 4 year old over-night before. (It is long overdue.) I had planned on having a few posts scheduled out for this week and next week, but life happened at my house, and I couldn’t make it happen. Everyone in my house got sick last week. And everyone is still sick this week. Including me. Yesterday, I finally caught whatever it is my family has.
However, I am trying not to let it get me down. I am so thrilled to be going to Snap Conference! It is a blog conference for creative bloggers. I can’t wait to go to all the classes and learn as much as I can to make this blog a better place for all of my readers. And maybe to also get a handle on a little more organization and time management for me.
I will be able to connect with some amazing, talented women that I have admired from afar, as well as meet some of my online friends for the first time in real life.
Today was incredibly emotional for me for so many reasons. I had so much to do to get ready to leave, I was catching up for lost from last week, I am feeling some mommy guilt for leaving the kids, and I started to feel really crummy. In fact, I was crying to my husband tonight that maybe I shouldn’t even go. However, after taking some more Vitamin C and ibuprofen I am feeling a little more like myself.
To stay up to date with everything going on over this long weekend, follow me on Instagram. I will be sharing a lot of sneak peeks, beautiful friends and even some inspired 80’s outfits!
I have been feeling a little blogger burnout, so I am hoping to come back refreshed and with a renewed sense of purpose. I am so thankful to my husband for allowing me to follow my dreams and hold down the fort while I am away. He is an incredible man and I appreciate everything he does for me. He truly is my number one fan!
See you when I get back! Do you have any last minute tips to help me calm my nerves? ;)

I still remember my first blog conference. It was the first time that I left my two children. I remember crying too. But once I arrived, I got caught up in the excitement and education of it all. It is an experience to remember. Best of luck.

Thank you so much! It was definitely a fun, overwhelmingly awesome experience! I had a great time. And while I did miss my kids, you are completely right. You definitely do get caught up in the excitement. Have a great week!

GABA Calm…great stuff, I take it every night at bedtime to slow my non-stop brain down, and took one before going to the dentist earlier this week to get a filling replaced. I don’t want to take drugs, so this natural calming staple in my life keeps me calm and focused and not sleep deprived.
