For holiday parties, I like to have some kind of chip or snack mix to serve with my food spread. I do this whether we are just doing snacks and appetizer like food or if we are serving a meal. This year, I made a sweet and salty snack mix that is perfect for Halloween parties or even a school party or after school snack. It is a perfect mix of sweet and salty.

- Chex Cereal (any variety, I chose wheat)
- Small Pretzels
- Caramel Popcorn
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Candy Corn
- Mellowcreme Pumpkins
- Fall Harvest M&Ms
Start by popping your caramel corn. You can also use pre-popped caramel corn, but I couldn’t find any in the store this time.
Combine 2 cups each of the Chex cereal, pretzels, and caramel popcorn.
Add in 1 cup each of the pumpkin seeds, candy corn, pumpkins, and M&Ms. I found the seasonal M&Ms so the colors looked more Halloween, but any will do.
Stir all the ingredients to combine.
See? I told you it was easy! You can mix up any of the ingredients – for example, use a different kind of Chex cereal, or a combination, pretzel sticks instead of the sourdough nibblers, or a different version of candy corn. The variations on this simple sweet and salty snack mix are endless! Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Earlier this week I created a spooky spider serving bowl. It is the perfect way to serve up this snack mix at any Halloween party!
