Hallmark Easter Cards help us stay connected #EasterValue #shop

This year, I promised myself I would do better about staying in touch with my family and friends. My brother, his wife, and kids, live far away and we only get to see them about once a year. What better way to stay connected to our family than by sending happy snail mail? On my most recent trip to Walmart, I was able to find some really great Hallmark cards to send to my niece and nephews.

They had a great selection and the cards were really affordable. The Easter value cards were only $0.47 and $0.97! And if you sign up for the Hallmark rewards program, for every 5 cards you buy you will earn a reward.

Since my kids don’t have a lot of cousins, I want them to feel connected to my brother’s kids even though we don’t live close. I used to love getting cards from relatives when I was little. Especially, when it wasn’t my birthday and I wasn’t expecting to get any mail! But, I didn’t want to send a simple card. Even though that is nice, I thought it would be fun if my kids and I made some Easter crafts for the cousins. I purchased an inexpensive foam crafting kit while I was at Walmart as well.

I laid everything out on the table and let the kids craft to their heart’s content! (My daughter was not feeling well, so I made a few extras for each cousin.)

We were able to chat about the cousins as we were crafting and my son even suggested that we should Skype with them again soon! I definitely plan to do this more this year with my kids. I love that we were able to send a little love through the mail.

    • Thanks Shannon. It was fun to create something for my family. We don’t always take the time to do it, but I will definitely be doing this more with my kids so we can all feel connected. Have a great week!
