Create Your Design
Start by opening a new canvas in Cricut Design Space.
I used a Cricut Access font called Extreme Fonts – Little League to write the words Go Taylor’s Boyfriend. I curved the text on the top. Then I added a football to place in the middle. You can grab the file below.

Cricut Design Space File: Go Taylor’s Boyfriend Shirt
I like to open a shirt template to see what my design will look like before making it. Click Templates, then search shirt to pull up a t-shirt design that matches yours.
At the top, you can choose the Type and the Size. You can also change the color to match your shirt. My shirt is red, so I chose that to see how the design would look.

Even if I use a template, I still measure my shirt to ensure the size I choose will work on my particular shirt. Then click Make It.
On the mat preview page, click Mirror Image on every mat when using heat transfer vinyl. Click Continue.
Choose the type of material from the drop-down menu. I am using Glitter Iron-on and Foil Iron-On for this project.
Cut Out the Iron-On Using a Cricut Machine
Weed all the excess iron-on. Check inside all the letters if you are cutting out a phrase.
Place the iron-on onto the Cricut mat, shiny side down. This will allow the machine to cut through only the iron-on, not the clear liner. I am using my Cricut Joy to cut out all the iron-on since the pieces were not wide.
Load the mat into the machine and click Go.
Once the machine is done cutting, unload the mat. Flip the mat over, and peel the mat away from the iron-on. This method helps to keep the material from getting too curled up or wrinkled.

Use EasyPress to Press the Iron-on to the Shirt
If you use a Cricut EasyPress, go to the Heat Guide, choose your material, and blank from the drop-down menus.
I chose Glitter Iron-on and 100% cotton. Then, I did another Heat Guide for the Foil Iron-On.
This will pull up the instructions for how to use the EasyPress with your materials. For mine, the instructions say to press at 330° for 30 seconds for the glitter iron-on and 295° for 30 seconds for the foil iron-on.
Press the shirt with the EasyPress to remove wrinkles and any excess moisture.
Press the bottom layer for 10 seconds when layering the iron-on at the recommended temperature. Peel off the protective liner, then do the full press time for the second layer at the recommended temperature for the second layer.
If you do both layers for the full amount of time, you can get wrinkles and creases in your bottom layer of iron-on.
Allow the iron-on to cool, and peel away the liner from the shirt.
Your shirt is ready to celebrate the Super Bowl or any other Kansas City Chiefs game!
