Did you see how my football party turned out? We have everything we need to throw a fantastic Super Bowl party.
Today, I will show you how I made the wooden bead football garland that I used to decorate the table.

How to Make a Football Garland
I found everything I needed to make this garland at Dollar Tree.
Supplies

If Dollar Tree doesn’t have the St. Patrick’s Day garland, you can purchase wood beads from Amazon. Or you can paint the plain unfinished beads from Dollar Tree.
Take Apart the Garland
Start by taking apart the St. Patrick’s Day Garland. I cut off the rainbow and took all the beads off the twine. I also took apart the tassel.
I wanted the garland to tie in with the trophy napkin rings I made, so I added a piece of green gingham ribbon to the tassel.
Reassemble the Tassel
To recreate the tassel, tie a piece of jute cord around the middle of the tassel strings and ribbon. Wrap it around the middle once or twice after tying.

Then, fold the tassel materials in half and continue wrapping the jute cord around the top of the tassel. Secure with a knot.

Thread the Garland
I started by tying the tassel to a long piece of jute cord. I used the old piece of twine as a guide, adding enough length to add the brown beads.
Then, start threading the beads onto the cord. I made mine using a pattern of dark green, light green, white, and brown beads. I had a few of the original beads left over after adding the new brown beads.

Tie a loop on the end through the last bead and secure with a knot.

The beaded garland looks really cute on the center of the table. And I can use it on a tiered tray display or along my fireplace mantel.
