Favorite Christmas and Holiday Books for Kids. Our favorite books that we read each holiday season with our kids.
We have done a Christmas book countdown for the past couple of years. I wrap twenty-four Christmas, holiday, and winter-themed books for the kids to open each night of December leading up to Christmas.
Throughout the year, we normally do story time every night before bed. December is a little more fun because the kids trade off opening a book each night.
I wrapped the books in two different types of wrapping paper, alternating even and odd days. To create the tags, I punched a circle on green cardstock and used number stickers to label each book to the corresponding day. I then used an adhesive dot to attach the tag to the wrapped book.
Favorite Christmas Books for Kids
Today, I am sharing our list of our favorite Christmas and holiday books for kids. Some of them have Christmas themes and others are general books about winter.
You can see this list of books in my Amazon store. Many of the books were purchased through the Scholastic program at my son’s school. This is a great way to give back to your child’s school while also building your own reading library.
