Fall Paper Banner. Learn how to create a stunning DIY fall banner with festive patterns, vibrant fall colors, and charming embellishments.
Today, I will show you how to create a pretty fall banner with two of my favorite tools – the banner punch board and the mini alphabet punch board.
The banner punch board makes it so easy and quick to create banners. This banner is perfect for adding seasonal decor to your home or party!

Cut Paper
Start by trimming your fall-themed papers to 4 inches by 6 inches. You will need six different patterns of paper.
Use the Banner Punch Board
Use the banner punch board to create a flag-shaped banner.
I like to line up the corners of my paper at the cutting groove. This way, I waste the least amount of paper, and each banner piece is the same size.
Use the banner punch board to punch holes in the corner of each banner piece.

Use the Alphabet Punch Board
Next, I used the mini alphabet punch board to spell out the word “FALL” from orange textured cardstock.
To start, trim the paper to 1.5” x 2.5”. Use the instructions for the mini alphabet punch board to guide you in punching and cutting the letters.
Create Rosettes
Since the letters are small, I added a brown rosette behind each one. Use textured brown cardstock and the trim & score board to score your paper every half inch.
Use the rosette punch to create a decorative edge on the paper. Once I had the entire 12” x 12” paper punched along one edge, I trimmed it to be only 2” wide by 12” long.
Fold the paper accordion style and use hot glue to attach the ends of the rosette together and secure the middle so it stays together.
I also used hot glue to attach the letters to the rosettes and the whole thing to my banner pieces.
The rosette helps make the letters stand out while providing fun details to the banner pieces.
I added some pretty fall ephemera to the two end banner pieces and the letters.
Lastly, I attached all the banner pieces using brown and white baker’s twine. Tie each piece together using a small bow.
I love how this banner turned out, and I can leave it up from September through November.
Adding the ephemera to the letters and the end pieces ties the banner together, creating a beautiful fall display piece.
