DIY Bunny Bait Box. Grab a few supplies from Dollar Tree to make this adorable carrot bunny bait box decoration for Easter.
You all know how much I love to get craft and holiday supplies from Dollar Tree. Every year, they have these cute jute-wrapped carrots that come in a package of six.
I have used them around my home for decorations, but I thought making a cute little bunny bait box to house them would be a fun display for Easter and spring.

How to Make a Bunny Bait Box
This project comes together quickly. If you don’t have a cutting machine, like a Cricut, you could use letter stickers to spell out “Bunny Bait” on your box.
Supplies:
- Small Wood Crate
- Brown Paint
- Jute-Wrapped Carrots
- Brown Shredded Paper
- White Vinyl (or Letter Stickers)
- Transfer Tape
- Cricut Machine
Paint the Crate
I started by painting the small wooden crate brown. You could leave the crate its original wood color or even stain it.
I painted the box inside and out. Allow the paint to dry.
Cut Vinyl Letters
Use a Cricut machine to cut the bunny bait letters from white vinyl.
Cricut Design Space File: Bunny Bait
I used my Cricut Joy and white Smart Vinyl for this project. The Joy is small and easy to get out and use anywhere, so it was perfect for this little design.

Weed the excess vinyl and apply transfer tape to the letters. Carefully peel the letters away from the backing.
Apply the letters to the front of the painted crate.
Add Carrots
Place some brown shredded paper into the bottom of the box. You could also use green shredded paper or Easter grass.
Place the carrots into the box, allowing the tops to stick out the top.
This little decoration was quick and easy to create, making it a great addition to my Easter and spring decorations.
