Welcome to day 21 of the ‘31 Days of Deep Cleaning Your Home‘ series!
Today’s task is to clean your linen and coat closets.
The first step is to straighten out the closets. Hang anything back up that need its, fold sheets and towels, remove anything from these spaces that does not belong and put all of it away!
If you have wooden shelves (mine are wire) you may need to do some dusting on your shelves. Just do one shelf at a time. Take everything off the shelf, wipe it down with a damp cloth and place everything back on the shelf.
Next, take everything off the floor of your closet and vacuum or sweep and mop the floor.
Put everything back that belongs on the floor of the closet.
I have a bonus tutorial for you today! Do you know how to fold a fitted sheet? (And, no, I don’t mean just bunching it up into a ball and throwing it in the linen closet!)
In just a few easy steps, you can fold your fitted sheet to look just like your flat sheet!
Step one:
Place one hand into adjacent corners of the fitted edges. Bring your right hand to your left and tuck the right corner into the left corner. Do the same thing for the opposite corners.
Step two and three:
Fold the sheet in half. Tuck the two corners from one side into the two corners of the other side.
Step four:
Smooth out all the edges and lay on a large, flat surface.
Step five and six:
Fold the sheet into thirds lengthwise.
Step seven:
Fold the sheet into thirds again or whatever size you need your sheet to be. Mine works well in thirds but yours may be different.
See you back here tomorrow for day 22 of 31 Days of Deep Cleaning Your Home.

I am surprised how many people don’t know how to fold a fitted sheet. This is the way my mom taught me too. Sometimes I even have a hard time telling which one is flat and which one is fitted. Just takes practice.
