Welcome to Day 12 of ‘31 Days of Homemaking Printables‘ series.

We will now be moving on to the menu planning section of our binders. This one is just as important to allowing your home to run smoothly as the household printables are, in my opinion. How many times have you found yourself at 4:00 staring blankly into the fridge wondering what to make for dinner?

Carefully planning out your meals for the week allows you to save time and money. You efficiently shop once per week or every two weeks (whatever works for you). You can plan out your meals weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly.

Soon I will share more details about how I do menu planning in my house. But, no matter how you do it, at some point you have to go to the grocery store. I find it is easiest to divide my list into sections. After constantly re-writing my grocery lists to make them more efficient, I finally created a printable to make it even easier for myself. Today you can download your own blank printable grocery shopping list.

The one I use at home actually has our most purchased items pre-filled in for me. That way I just check them off if I know we need them and it helps me to remember what things I need to get. You can easily do that with this blank list by writing in your most purchased items and then making copies of your sheet.

You will notice that under each section you have a place to check off the items as you purchase them. I have also found it helpful to use a highlighter to mark off my list as I shop.
