For the cutout words, I wanted them to be a little sturdier than using regular cardstock since they were so thin and delicate.
I used a gold metallic poster board. It adds a little shine to the banner and is thicker than plain cardstock. Select Metallic Poster Board from the drop-down menu before cutting.

Load your poster board paper shiny side up on a StrongGrip cutting mat and click the flashing Go button.

After unloading the mat, flip it over and peel it away from the poster board. This will help prevent the pieces from getting too curled.

Set the material to Cardstock for Intricate Cuts before cutting the green cardstock.

Note: The light green cardstock has many small pieces to cut out, so be patient.
Again, peel the mat away from the cardstock to keep the pieces flat.

A lot of little scraps will be left on the mat. Using a scraper tool, you can easily remove them.

Assemble the Banner
Add the words to the top of the shamrocks using adhesive to secure them. Using a gluestick or precision tip glue is easiest for these thin words.

Use dimensional adhesive to attach the shamrocks to the solid green cardstock banner shapes.

Once you have all the pieces cut out, it is time to assemble the banner. Thread baker’s twine through each banner piece.
Some banner pieces have two layers—a light green and darker green cardstock shape. Stack these together and then run the baker’s twine through both pieces.

Helpful tip: Wrap the end of the baker’s twine with tape to make threading through the holes in the banner easier. If needed, you can use a small hole punch to make the holes bigger.
Now your pretty banner is ready to hang! It would look cute on a mantel or hanging under a shelf.
