Contact Paper Ghost. Create a spooky ghost decoration on a mirror or frame using inexpensive contact paper for Halloween.
For my son’s Halloween birthday party last year, we went all out to spookify our house. I saw a great idea online to create a ghost on a mirror or glass using contact paper. (Sorry, for the life of me I cannot find where I originally saw it!) I created this ghost to go in the kid’s bathroom that we use for guests.
Supplies needed: (contains affiliate links)
- Contact paper
- Scissors
First decide approximately how big you want your ghost to be. Draw a ghost outline on the paper backed side of your contact paper. (Remember, when you are drawing on the paper side, your image will be reversed when you peel off the sticky contact paper.) Cut out the shape, including holes for the eyes and mouth, if desired.
Carefully peel off the backing paper and apply to your mirror.
You can smooth out bubbles and wrinkles with a plastic scraper. I used the one for my Cricut, but you could use a credit card.
This wasn’t the easiest project to get a picture of, but I think you get the idea!
Do you decorate for Halloween? Do you like to do spooky or cute?
