DIY Business Card Holder. Create a cute business card holder for your purse using a tin, glitter, and Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.
I am on my way to Snap, as we speak. Each year I have gone, we have done roommate gifts to share with each other when we get there. I wanted to create something handmade, but also useful, so I decided to create some glittered business card holder tins for each of us.
Supplies needed:
- Metal tin
- Glitter
- Mod Podge
- Dimensional Magic
- Paint brush
The first step is to coat the entire metal surface on the top in Mod Podge.
Sprinkle glitter over the entire surface. Shake off excess and allow to dry.
Note: I used a paper plate, but if you do a lot of projects with glitter this tray works great for getting excess glitter back into your container.
Next, to seal in the glitter I wanted to add Dimensional Magic. I tried two different techniques to keep the little window clear – applying painters tape and simply just being super careful.
Both methods worked equally well. While the Dimensional Magic is still wet, use a wet q-tip to clean off the little window. Allow it to dry completely.
I printed out my friend’s logos onto paper in the size of the window and taped them from the inside.
I am really looking forward to seeing these girls again, even though I am not rooming with them this year.
