Two weeks ago, I attended Blended Conference at the beautiful Windmill Winery. If you are a blogger, I highly recommend attending a blog conference at some point in your career. It is a great way to network, learn new information, and create lasting friendships.
Disclosure: I was an ambassador for Blended and received my ticket at a discounted rate.
The venue was beautiful. One of my favorite parts of the conference was doing a photography walk with Kate from Songs Kate Sang. She is a wonderful photographer and blogger. We have known each other online for quite some time, so it was nice to finally give her a hug in person!
I thought it would be fun to share some of the pictures I took on our walk. It was great to get in person tips on how to improve my photography. I have always loved to take pictures, but when I started blogging in 2012 I didn’t realize how important it would be to take wonderful pictures. It is a crucial part of blogging that you have to master if you don’t want to hire it out.
There were gorgeous flowers all throughout the winery.
The main classes were held inside the barn. We had delicious food and drinks from Melissa’s Produce, Chipotle, Sambazon, Sodalicious, Torani and more.
Blogging is a unique profession. It is wonderful to go to a place where everyone “gets” you. Even though I have been in Arizona since I started blogging, since I live about two hours north of Phoenix, I don’t know a lot of other Arizona bloggers other than online. It was great to finally meet these women in person – like Liz, Kate, Wendy, and Laura (although we have met before). Next time I will need to be better about getting photos with them all!
Even though I knew a few bloggers from online it is always a little scary for me to step outside my comfort zone and meet all new people. Most of the women I knew ahead of time were busy with conference preparations, so I was on my own when I got there. Luckily, I sat at a table with the nicest women!

Sometimes you meet other women that you instantly connect with. It was great to meet like-minded women that I felt like I have known for years. We hung out after the conference back at the hotel on the first night and it was like a fun slumber party!
During the conference, we got to do a fun make and take at the Cricut booth – a vinyl lettered coaster.
A big thank you to Wendy for making Blended so special. I learned a ton and the friendships will last a lifetime. If you are a blogger – what is your favorite blog conference?
