April Showers Bring May Flowers Mini Banner. Create an April mini banner using the We R Memory Keepers banner punch board and paper from Pebbles, Inc.
Today, I am sharing my April banner for my 12 Months of Banners series.
Whenever I think of April, I think of the saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” We have had a particularly wet spring here in northern Arizona.

How to Make a Mini Banner
Since I have only made larger banners with my punch board so far, I decided to create a mini banner for April. This banner is quick and takes less than ten minutes to create!
Supplies:
- We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board
- Patterned papers from Pebbles Paper Pad: Best of
- Paper trimmer
- Yellow Twine
When looking through the paper pack when I first got it at the beginning of this series, I saw the little umbrella paper and knew I would use it on a spring banner. I also chose some blue clouds and blue polka-dot paper.
And I picked out almost all of the floral papers in the pack. They are so happy and fun.
Cut Banner Pieces
Start by cutting each paper you will use to 2″ x 3″ with your paper trimmer.
Using the banner punch board, I created a flag shape at the bottom of each banner piece by lining up my paper at the number 2 vertical white lines. Line up the top edge of your paper with the highest horizontal blue line.
Close the cutting arm, and use the cutting blade to trim down first from the left and right along the top guide.
Punch holes in the top of each banner piece using the punch board.

String Banner Together
String twine through each banner piece. I alternated the umbrellas and blue papers with the floral papers.
Since this banner is so simple, I added the twine so you can see a long strip of twine on the front of each banner piece. Usually, I hide the majority of the twine or ribbon behind the banner pieces.

This banner was quick and easy to make. It is small and fits perfectly on my gallery wall shelves in our front entryway.
