All Day Movie Marathon. Plan an all day movie marathon. Ideas for movies to watch, snacks to each and fun party ideas!
We are having an unusually hot summer, even for Arizona. Trying to do anything outside is almost impossible unless it involves water. Even the kids don’t want to be in the pool all day, every day, so it is time to plan some indoor activities. Cricut is doing a summer bucket list challenge and on the list is an all day movie marathon. I thought it would be the perfect activity to beat the summer heat!

Cricut Cut File: Movie Marathon
Note: You will need to cut one file for each person attending your movie marathon. After you click ‘Go’ you will want to choose the same number of project copies as you have people attending.
*As your mats cut out, you will be prompted to add the scoring tool or the correct pen for each project.
Once you have everything cut out you will need to assemble all your items. To create the card, you will start by folding the card in half along the score line and then add the stickers (film strip, popcorn box, and clapperboard) to the front of the card.
Add some adhesive to the back of the white card that says “movie marathon” and attach it to the inside of the card.
The little ticket stub that says “admit one” will slide right inside the card slots!
Next, you will assemble the straw flags. Use any color paper straw – I chose red and white to match the rest of the decor. Apply adhesive to the inside of the straw flag, and fold over the straw to secure.
Lastly, you will need to assemble the popcorn boxes. You will have two white pieces of cardstock that are scored and four red popcorn striped pieces to attach (2 large and 2 small). Use glue to adhere the red pieces to the white cardstock. Once you have the main part of the box assembled, you will fold in the flaps on the top and bottom of the box.
Note: It helps to pre-fold your white pieces along the score lines before applying the red striped pieces.
All you need to do now is pop some popcorn, pour your drinks and maybe add in a few sweet treats like licorice or some candies and you are ready to watch!
Get settled in with some comfy blankets and pillows and have a great day out of the heat.
