Fall is my favorite time of year. I am excited to be already creating some fun things for Halloween. We sometimes have a big party, but no matter what, I always go all out decorating for Halloween. Today, I am sharing how to quickly create a fun serving bowl with just a few supplies.

Supplies:

I found my bowl and candlestick at Dollar Tree. They have a ton of different plastic serving pieces that are great for entertaining.

I started by creating a Cricut Design Space file that included some spiders, a web, and a spider on a thread.

After designing my spiders, I cut my vinyl to fit on the mat using my paper trimmer. If you look at the mat preview you can tell exactly how much vinyl you will need for a project. It is much easier to cut it down than to use a large piece on a roll.

I cut out the vinyl using the Cricut Explore Air 2. Set the Smart Set Dial to Vinyl and use a Standard Grip cutting mat.

Before weeding the vinyl I cut all the different spiders and web apart. Using the weeding tool really helps to get all the little pieces out of the spider web.

Apply transfer tape to the design, and smooth with your scraper. Peel the paper backing off the vinyl.

Apply the transfer tape and vinyl design to the inside of the bowl. Smooth the design with your hand and the scraper, if necessary, and peel back the transfer tape.

Repeat this process for all of the vinyl pieces.

Once the bowl was complete, I added adhesive to the candlestick and attached it to the bottom of the bowl.

This will be a fun serving piece at Halloween time.

I love how the spider on a thread is a little surprise when you get to the bottom of the bowl.
