Earlier this week, I shared how we made a Minecraft fishing game for my son’s Minecraft party. Today, I am sharing how we created the Minecraft Perler bead keychains we used as part of our favor bags. I am including a file for all the Minecraft Perler bead patterns, as well.
- Perler Beads, various colors
- Perler Bead Patterns
- Iron and ironing board
- Keychain Rings
- Needle Nose Pliers
Print out or pull up the Minecraft Perler bead patterns on your computer or tablet.

Use the small square pegboard to create each of the designs.
Follow the pattern to create your design on the pegboard.
Follow the instructions that come with your beads to iron them together. For mine, you place the pegboard on your ironing board or mat. Place ironing paper over the pegboard. In a circular motion, begin to iron the project. The beads should still have open centers. It should take about 10 seconds to fuse the beads together. Let the design cool.
Remove the paper. Flip the project over and repeat the fusing process on the opposite side. Let cool completely.
Note: Fusing the design should be done by an adult.
Using one of the holes at the top or bottom of the design, attach a key chain ring. To do this, you will need to open the jump ring using needle nose pliers.
Slide the jump ring through the hole in the design. Close the jump ring using your pliers.
We created a ton of designs – Steve, Creeper, Herobrine, Zombie, Enderman, flowers, water bottle, iron sword, heart, diamond pickaxe, and firework rocket.
You can find most of the images from the game on Minecraft Wiki to help you create even more designs. Since everything in Minecraft is pixelated, the designs are perfect to try with Perler bead crafts!
Helpful Tip: You can use the Kandi Pattern Maker to create Perler Bead patterns of your own. This is how I created the patterns I am sharing with you today.
