Welcome to day 14 of the ‘31 Days of Deep Cleaning Your Home‘ series!
Today’s task is to clean your kitchen table and chairs. This is the last day we will be spending in the kitchen.
This task is fairly simple, but one that most of us don’t do on a regular basis (other than wiping down the top of the table). Use a damp cloth and wipe down your entire table and all of your chairs. Pay particular attention to the underside edge of your table and your table legs.
To clean the chairs, I wipe down the top half of the chair. Then I flip the chair upside down, place it on my table and wipe down the bottom half. This is easier than crouching down on the floor to get to all those chair legs.
After I have wiped everything down, I usually use some orange oil cleaner to shine the top of my table. Even with a protective finish on the wood, this helps to restore the shine.
If you have a tablecloth, seat cushions or place mats, now is the perfect time to throw those in the wash. Also, if you have children that use a booster seat or high chair, give it a thorough scrub as well.
See you back here tomorrow for day 15 of 31 Days of Deep Cleaning Your Home.
