One of our advent calendar activities is to write a letter to Santa. I thought this would be fun since this is the first year my son can really write all of the letters of the alphabet by himself. I had to help him with the spelling, but I was so proud of him for writing it out by himself. I knew he wouldn’t be able to write an entire letter so I created a fill-in form that he could write in the important parts himself.

I am offering this free printable for you to use with your child!

Our local post office has a special mailbox for Santa letters. My son was really excited to drop it off!

  1. Hi Laura, what a delightful idea. I can just imagine the excitement the child feels when he/she is filling out the letter. We do have boxes around town to receive mail to Santa and apparently the kiddies do get a reply. Thanks for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

  2. I love, love, love this! Thank you so much for offering this printable. I was so excited to see that it has a section for the children to share what they have done this year that they feel good about! And I adore the fact that your local post office has the “Letters to Santa” mailbox, how fun. I wish ours would =/ you’ve inspired me to suggest it. Have a wonderful Christmas this year.

    • You’re welcome! I am so grateful to be able to share with others. The post office is pretty cool. He even gets a letter back from “Santa” after we drop his letter off there. Have a Merry Christmas!

  3. Thanks for the letter! What a great idea! I like that there’s no “naughty or nice” check boxes – all kids are on the nice list!! Merry Christmas!

    • Thank you Erin! This has been a great way for my children to write their own letters (or have me help a little). We will be doing these again this year. Have a wonderful holiday!
