Personalized Tote Bag. Create a personalized bag with your company name and logo or even a favorite drawing using Tulip Fabric markers. Then fill it with your favorite supplies, including Udderly Smooth hand cream.
I recently updated my blog logo and header. I am still tweaking a few things on my blog design, but I am so excited about the new design. Butterflies and mason jars are two of my favorite things, so it seems only fitting to put them together. I had the perfect idea to create a personalized tote bag with my new logo on it. This will be the perfect bag to take with me when I go to my next blog conference, Snap, in April!
Disclosure: I was sent the Fabric markers and Udderly Smooth to try out. All opinions are 100% my own. I only recommend products I use and love. This post contains affiliate links.
My sweet friend Laura Kelly, sent me a fun box of goodies. The challenge was to create something with the supplies I received. One item I received was these awesome fabric markers from Tulip.
They work just like fabric paints, so whatever you draw on will be washable, but you can simply draw, instead of having to paint. You can color the markers on to stamps, use them with stencils or simply hand draw your image, freestyle.
I started by printing out a large image of both the mason jar with the butterflies and a large full size sheet of my newly designed blog name.
I tried as best as I could to trace the image, but it wasn’t showing through the two layers of fabric on the bag well, so I used the images to free-hand draw the logo and the name.
Be sure to place a piece of cardboard into your bag to prevent the markers from bleeding through onto the back side of the bag. (You would also do this if you are drawing on a t-shirt.)
Once I had my bag finished, I rounded up the supplies I would need for my conference. I have my blog planner and my pretty floral notebook that I received last year from my Snap secret sister. I used this notebook to write notes from my classes at Snap last year and have continued to write notes from the online classes I have taken and books I have read about blogging. It is becoming a really great reference tool for me!
I also included my business cards. I am trying to decide if I will re-do my cards to match my new logo since I still have so many of these left from last year. And, of course, you need a pen. The Papermate Flair pens are some of my favorite colorful pens.
And last, but not least, some Udderly Smooth hand cream. My friend Laura sent me some to try out last year and I have been hooked ever since. I now know why she is always raving about it! It is the perfect lotion for busy crafters and DIYers. My hands get so dry when I am working on projects. I am constantly washing my hands. Plus, I live in Arizona where everything is chronically dry. This lotion is great because it is not greasy. The last thing you want while working on a project is to leave greasy lotion marks all over your project. I love the lotion so much, my husband even put two big bottles of it into my Christmas stocking! I keep it everywhere – my purse, my car, my nightstand, by the kitchen sink.

Love the new logo and the bag! Very nice! I think I need a set of those pens…not sure what for, yet, but the urge to draw has been strong lately, and I’m in need of a new tote bag anyway! :D
