Floral Planner Band. Use your Cricut Maker to cut out felt flowers to create a pretty floral planner band for use with your favorite paper planner, like this Simplified Planner from Emily Ley.

Welcome to Day 3 of Craft Lightning Felt Edition. I am excited to share with you how to create this pretty floral planner band. I am a paper planner girl.

And although my planner often stays on my desk, sometimes on really busy days I like to take it with me. I prefer to keep a planner band around it so that it stays nice and neat in my bag.

Supplies:

• Cricut Maker
• Rotary Blade
• Pink FabricGrip Mat
• Craft Felt – Fuschia, Turquoise, Rose, White, and Pirate Green (1 sheet each)
• Fold Over Elastic
• Hot Glue Gun

How to Make Felt Flowers with Cricut Maker

Open Cricut Design Space and click on New Project. Click Images. In the search bar type in “3D flowers”. Choose which flowers and leaves you want to cut out.

I resized and recolored everything to match my felt.

Cricut Design Space: Floral Planner Band

Choose Felt for material and Rotary Blade for clamp B.

Cut out five mats of felt – white, green, blue, and pink.

Use your glue gun to assemble the flowers.

For the white and turquoise flowers, you will start with the outside edge and roll the felt until you get to the middle. You can add a few dabs of hot glue as you go.

To make the flower more secure, cut a small circle and glue it to the back side of the flower.

For the pink flowers, glue the little tab to the backside of the flower. Then glue each layer together, starting with the biggest and working inward.

Measure out your elastic and hot glue the ends together. Make the band about 1/2″ to 1″ smaller than your planner. This will ensure a tight fit.

Glue your felt flowers and leaves to the band with hot glue.

Now, my planner is ready to go and I don’t have to worry about it coming open in my bag and getting the pages wrinkled. My planner is the Emily Ley Simplified Daily Planner in Fancy Floral.
