Last year my cousin had a baby and I wanted to do something special for her when the new baby arrived. She already had a baby shower that I attended, so I had already purchased a gift specifically for the baby. I know from experience that when people come to see you after the baby is born, they often bring a gift for the baby – a cute outfit or stuffed animal. I wanted to do something just for her to make her feel special and maybe make it a little easier on her when she got home from the hospital.

- Face wash wipes
Body cream or lotion: great for frequent hand washing.
Chapstick: keep lips from drying out.
Headbands: great for pulling back your hair when you don’t have time to fix it.
Wine: no explanation needed here. It was a long 9 months!
Dry shampoo: perfect for quick touch ups when you haven’t had time to shower.
Aloe-infused socks: these are warm and fuzzy and will keep your feet looking beautiful.
Gum: sometimes you don’t have time to brush your teeth.
Chocolate: being a mom is hard.
Face wash wipes: quick to use to take off any makeup or wipe off baby spit up instead of having to take the time to wash your face at night.
I found almost all the items at my local Dollar Tree. A few of the items I purchased from the grocery store. I packaged everything up in a cute tote bag I found at Dollar Tree. I thought a tote bag would be more useful than a gift bag that would get thrown out.
I created a tag using a pre-cut light blue tag and some clear acrylic stamps. I attached it to the bag with a glittered clothespin.
