Sometimes you need a quiet activity for your kids to do while you are waiting. Felt busy bags are an easy, inexpensive craft you can do to keep your child busy and entertained. Today, I am going to show you how to make a felt Halloween pumpkin.

To start, I printed off a pumpkin coloring page I found on the internet to use as a template.
I cut out a pumpkin shape out of orange felt using my template as a guide. It helps to pin the paper to the felt to make it easier to cut.
Then, I used black felt to create a variety of faces for my daughter to use to decorate her jack o’ lantern.
Note: Do a quick Google search for jack o’ lantern faces to get some ideas. But basic shapes work really well for eyes and noses.
I always like to have a background she can use to display her creations for when we are on the go. I found this pretty black and white felt that would be perfect to make the orange pumpkin stand out.
I used some of the leftover black felt to create a pocket on the back to hold everything. Simply hot glue three of the edges.
Then you can tuck the top over to keep everything secured.
It is fun to watch my daughter come up with different faces. She also likes to cut out her own shapes to use with the pumpkin.
