After returning home from Snap earlier this year in April, I was so inspired by all the new products that were out on the market. I started brainstorming an idea that would put together some of the cool new products I had seen at Snap along with my idea to simplify by creating a multitude of projects with a limited number of core supplies.
I want to thank American Crafts with supplying me with the products for this series. This post contains affiliate links.
My idea was to use the new We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board to create one banner for each month of the year. This way I would have a start for my holiday and seasonal decorating. I tend to change out my seasonal decor once a month or every couple of months and I often add banners to the mix. They are easy to create and are not too expensive to make. The banner punch board was one of the coolest products I saw. I don’t always want to drag out my die-cut machine to create banner shapes, and cutting them out by hand using a template can be really time consuming. The punch board eliminates the hassle and you can create banner and pennant shapes so easily!
I also wanted to start with a fun, decorative paper pad and try to make all 12 banners out of one paper pad and a few other supplies. I know sometimes I will buy a paper pack because it is just too cute, but then don’t really know what to do with it beyond scrapbooking. I will be showing you the versatility of a paper pack and all the fun banners you can make.
To create each banner I will use:
- We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board
- Pebbles Paper Pad: Best Of
- Neutral cardstock and/or Primaries cardstock
- Twine or Ribbon
- Paper Trimmer
Other items that may be included:
The first banner is going to be for August that I will be sharing with you this weekend. After that, I will be sharing one banner a month on (or around) the 15th for the upcoming month. This will give you two weeks to create the banner on your own.
By the end of 12 months you will have 12 banners you can display in your home using minimal supplies (and the same supplies over and over again). I can’t wait to share the first banner with you tomorrow!
Be sure to pin this post. I will be updating the links below as soon as each banner is created and shared!
